✏️ ON MY MIND
Building brand "ME."
I recently caught up with my brother from another mother, George Siosi Samuels. G and I go way back. We first met in 2014 while working as community managers at a national coworking company.
After a lengthy catch-up on career, life, and relationships, in typical George fashion, he asked if I'd be up for testing something with him on our Zoom call. Curious, I said, "let's do it."
For the next 60 minutes, George took me through a personal brand strategy session with a twist. He asked me to give him my results for various personality tests like Myers-Briggs and DISC. As well as my results for alternative profiling systems like Human Design, Wealth Dynamics, and Enneagram.
Finally, he asked me for my Chinese Zodiac and Western zodiac details, including my north node (something I taught G about after I learned about it at a retreat with my wife last year) and midheaven (something he'd shown me only a week earlier).
G explained to me that he believed that he may have found a way to:
Tie all these different profiling systems together, and
Then develop a 1-page personal brand strategy based on the accumulated data. This would solve the problem of having results for all these different tests and astrology readings but not having a quick and easy way to use them effectively for personal branding.
I liked where he was headed with this.
All he had to do was feed my data into ChatGPT and then type in a series of prompts (questions) that he'd developed specifically to guide the AI to give us my personal brand strategy.
For context, George is a master at building and leveraging his personal brand for amazing career and financial opportunities.
So combining his decades' worth of personal branding expertise with the cutting-edge potential of ChatGPT was just brilliant.
George was able to help me clarify exactly what I need to do to achieve the career and financial success I desire over the next decade.
Here's a snapshot of the 1-page personal brand strategy that ChatGPT created for me with G's guidance:
(we made the assumption that I'd be interested in working in the emerging tech space)

Now, this looks pretty epic, doesn't it? I sure think so.
The interesting thing is that I'm already doing a lot of these things. So this confirms that I'm headed in the right direction and should keep going.
George also reminded me that I have so much to offer, and I just need to tap into larger organizations that are already in flow and use my skills and experience to help them create more flow. This is the quickest path to success for me.
I already gave G a shoutout on Twitter, but I wanted to say "thanks George, you're awesome!" again here (in case he's reading).
Following my session with G, I re-took the Myers-Briggs test, and my result came out as an introverted INFP-A (Mediator). This differed from the extroverted "ENFP-A" I'd given G previously! That meant there was a strong possibility that a few things might need to be changed for my personal brand strategy, taking into account my now introverted tendencies.
So I ran an update in ChatGPT and asked what types of businesses might be ideal for someone with my traits and interests. Here's what ChatGPT came back with:

I also asked it to write down my ideal role based on my traits and interests. Here's what ChatGPT came back with:

My ideal role
Visionary Creator! Wow, I like the sound of that!
Now that I know what I want, my next step is to find it (or create/manifest it).

3/ Read: The secret to biz dev in Fractional
In this post, Fractional CMO and community leader, John Arms shares the secret to business development. He's talking to other fractional CXOs, but this lesson applies to everyone in business, I reckon.
Give.
This is not the answer ANYONE wants to hear. People want to hear there is a magic CRM. Or a social media strategy. Or an email list. Or some magical elevator speech. Or just the right pitch deck. Or a website where all of the hiring businesses stockpile their demand for Fractional talent. One day I hope to have some of that right here at Voyageur U. But it's not here yet. Even when that day comes, the secret to business development would remain the same.
Give.
